Event Booking Process

Organising an event involves many moving parts, so the last thing organisers need is additional complexity from a speaker. Philip Walton focuses on making the process smooth and straightforward while delivering engaging, insightful content tailored to your audience.
When you work with Philip, the process typically includes the following steps:

1

Initial Discovery Call

An optional introductory call to discuss your event, understand your objectives, and determine whether Philip is the right fit for your audience.

2

Event Briefing

This call focuses on defining what a successful session looks like for your event. Together, you will review the key themes, agree on the direction of the content, and confirm logistical details such as timings and session format. Any book requirements can also be discussed at this stage.

3

Event Day

Philip will coordinate with the AV team to ensure slides, lighting and audio are set up correctly. He remains flexible if schedules shift and can adjust the length of his talk if needed.

Philip usually operates his own slides using a clicker and prefers a lapel microphone or headset. After the talk, Philip is happy to stay and engage with audience members and answer questions.

4

Pre-Event Check-In

If helpful, a short call can take place a few days before the event to confirm final details.

5

Presentation Preparation

Following the briefing, Philip will finalise his presentation and share the slides in advance via Google Drive or WeTransfer.

6

Post-Event LinkedIn Engagement

Philip can also share LinkedIn posts following the event to extend engagement and reinforce key messages.

Phil was an excellent guest speaker at a recent course we ran. He was inspirational, informative and captured the room. The content was so relevant to our subject of not being complacent. I really hope we get the opportunity to work with and listen to more of Phil in the future.

Not knowing Phil or what he was about, I went in feeling optimistic, but I was genuinely blown away. His speech was engaging from start to finish, and the way he captivated the audience by weaving in his own experiences was genuinely memorable. What stood out most was how he used his stories not just to inspire, but to motivate others to take action themselves. Phil came across as warm, clear, and authentic a genuinely good person and someone you instantly connect with.

Phil was absolutely brilliant accompanying Team 2 on our walk up Moel Famau as part of our ‘Explorers’ topic about human endeavour. His Everest stories truly brought the experience to life and had the children completely captivated. Bringing his expedition kit was such a special touch — an unforgettable experience for our pupils.
